Waiting on Wednesday: The Crown by Kiera Cass

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, hosted over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.

This week, what's really got my pages in a twist is...

The Crown
(The Selection #5)
Publication Date: May 3, 2016
Hardcover, 352 pages, HarperTeen
Genres: YA, Dystopian

Kiera Cass’s bestselling Selection series has enchanted readers from the very first page. Now the end of the journey is here, in a wonderfully romantic series finale that will sweep you off your feet.

Twenty years have passed since the events of The One, and America and Maxon’s daughter is the first princess to hold a Selection of her own. Princess Eadlyn didn’t think she would find a real partner among the Selection’s thirty-five suitors, let alone true love. But sometimes the heart has a way of surprising you...and now Eadlyn must make a choice that feels more difficult—and more important—than she ever expected.

The Selection series has sold more than 3 million copies and captured the hearts of fans around the world. This swoonworthy final installment is the happily ever after they’ve all been waiting for.

My Thoughts

I know, I know. You’re going to ask why I’m reading this book when I thought the fourth one was all mluh. (You can’t see me, but I’m sticking out my tongue.) Well, I can’t just leave the story where it left off. That was a huge cliffhanger! Plus, this cover is beautiful and it will complete my set of The Selection books.

What book are you waiting on this Wednesday?

    1. Yeah, it's definitely a series you don't want to take too seriously. It's more of a guilty pleasure. And you're right, the covers are beautiful. :)

  2. My daughter loves this series! She is so bummed that she has a school function on the night of the signing. Oh well. I hope you love this one!
