I feel like the trailer is banking on the fact that everyone has read the book—and that is just not the case—because it pretty much spoils itself. I mean now we know that Petyr Baelish, err… I’m sorry, Aidan Gillen’s character, is a bad guy (maybe), and that the gang’s going to run away from him.
I
didn’t want to know a lot about this movie because I haven’t read The Scorch Trials yet (I will be doing
so closer to the movie’s release date), so I put off watching the trailer. I
wish I had just not watched it at all. Too much spoilery stuff. Although, my
friend said the trailer makes it look like they’re not going off of the book at
all. What do you think?
