Bookshelf Pics: Bookshelf #4

Whew! This is tough work putting these posts together! I'm not even going to try to come up with a witty comment. Just prepare yourselves for Bookshelf #4.

As some of you may know if you’ve been keeping up with my posts, I went home over winter break. Besides my family and dog, the thing I love most about going home is drooling over my own bookshelves. See, I leave all of the books I’ve read, along with some I haven’t, at home so I don’t crown my apartment. There’s limited space in that sucker.

About twice a year or so I manage to get home for long enough that I can rearrange my bookshelves. Usually it’s once in the summer and once in the winter. Now, because I rearranged, I have some updated bookshelf pictures for you to ogle. But, instead of showing you all of them at once, I’m just going to do one full shelf at a time. 

Today’s shelf has a weird mix on it. It's mainly children's books from when I was younger and adult romance books that I want to hide from my parents just because it would be embarassing if they saw them. Oh, and sorry if the pics are dark, this bookshelf resides in my closet.

Here are some YA paranormal books that were just "eh" and some larger coffeetable-esque books.

This shelf is my Gena Showalter/J.R. Ward/Kresley Cole combo. I don't even have all of the books I need to complete my collections yet. *sigh*

Children's books and a few classics. I really should get rid of these, but I just can't make myself.
 I know I'm never going to reread them, but I'm too sentimental.

Which Team Are You? : The Rick Riordan Edition

I basically just post a book series every week and have people vote on what team they are. I know the YA Sisterhood does the YA Crush Tournament, but I just want to find out how much you guys like one love interest over another, in one series.

Last week's poll was over Team Tamlin or Team Rhys from Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series. And guess what? It was a tie!

So for this edition of “Which Team Are You?” I’m going to ask you who your favorite lead guy is from Rick Riordan’s mythology series.

If I say my team, I feel like people will disown me. Oh well… I’m actually Team Jason. I really liked him in The Lost Hero, so as soon as Percy came back for the rest of the series, I was a little crushed that he took the limelight from everyone else. But after that, Percy would be my favorite, simply because I haven’t read the other two books yet.

If you had to choose one, who would it be, and why? If you haven’t read some of the books (How is that even possible!?), who do you think sounds more appealing from what you’ve heard (I can’t list out four blurbs, that’s just too much work):

My Thoughts

I still haven’t read The Blood of Olympus yet. Or The Kane Chronicles, but this book just looks so cool. I’m excited.

I actually don’t have a team here. I mean I think it would have been cool if Harry and Hermione got together, but Ron and Hermione are cute together. If you had to choose JUST one, who would it be, and why? My Thoughts

This book and its sequels will always have a place in my heart. And as cheesy as that sounds, you know it’s probably true for you, or at least someone you know, too. I read these books when I was a youngling (because I’m so old now, right?) and I can’t believe that I used to have to wait for each book to come out. Without Harry Potter, I’m sure my reading life wouldn’t be nearly as exciting.

My Thoughts 

I'm normally not a huge fan of middle grade stories, but this just sounds too adorable to pass up! Plus, that cover is so pretty! I must have!
