Once Every Never by Lesley Livingston
Clarinet Reid is a pretty typical teenager. On the surface. She’s smart, but a bit of slacker; outgoing, but just a little insecure; not exactly a mischief-maker… but trouble tends to find her wherever she goes. Also? She unwittingly carries a centuries-old Druid Blood Curse running through her veins.
Now, with a single thoughtless act, what started off as the Summer Vacation in Dullsville suddenly spirals into a deadly race to find a stolen artifact, avert an explosive catastrophe, save a Celtic warrior princess, right a dreadful wrong that happened centuries before Clare was even born, and if there’s still time—literally—maybe even get a date.
This is the kind of adventure that happens to a girl once every… never.
Release Date: July 1st 2011
This book sounds really good, and I love the cover, except for that blue pillowcase looking sky and the bird, I just think that they're a little too much and they take away from the cover model. What do you think?
Yeah, the pillowcase looks like her dress is flying up. The bird probably has something to do with the story, but they don't have to give everything away on the cover. Just the girl in the dress with her hair flying would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteNow, let's hope this actually has something to do with the story b/c sometimes the cover is beautiful and has absolutely nothing to do with the book b/c the illustrator didn't talk to anyone or read the book. That is so frustrating!
When does this one come out?
Oops! Forgot to put the release date on there! It comes out July 1st.
