"Stacking the
Shelves" is a weekly haul meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It allows book

Another week down. Another weekend here. Thankfully, this one is a three-day weekend. Huzzah! I'll be preparing to go to the Rachel Gillig signing by the time this post goes up, so that will be fun. I haven't been to an individual author signing in a long time. It's too hard to go when a lot of the events are held in the middle of the week two hours away from me. This one is on a Saturday, though, which is fantastic!
First up in this week's haul, I have an ARC of The Jasad Crown by Sara Hashem. I read book one a year-and-a-half ago, I think, and it was great. Can't wait to read this one. Thanks, Orbit! My Barnes & Noble preorder of Cursed Fates by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti also came in this week. It was in rough shape with some dirt on the top and bottom. I managed to get it off, but I'm really tired of books being in weird shape by the time they get to me. Where is the quality control lately?.
I have a very random book to share. Well, it might not seem random to you, but it was random to me. I have the Ukraine Manor original dust jacket with the Ukraine hardcover version of From Blood and Ash book that I traded for. I hit up someone in a Facebook BST group who had this for trade, and despite me having none of her wish list items, she traded with me for some PrettyGal Pin Crescent City cards. I honestly never really expected to get this one, so this is pretty exciting. And look at how beautiful it is!
Next up, I have more beautiful things. My order of the PR paperback editions of the first three books in J. Bree's Bonds That Tie series arrived! They're so pretty! I can't wait to have all six books when the other three eventually come out. These are actually supposed to get a hardcover release eventually, but I went ahead and bought the paperbacks because I wasn't sure if the hardcovers would look as good as the paperbacks.
More pretties! My FairyLoot editions of Amber V. Nicole's Gods & Monster series were delivered to my parents' house last week, and they dropped it off last weekend when they visited. Two of the books had some minor damage, so I emailed FairyLoot to see if I could get replacements. If not, it's not a big deal, but, again, quality control would be great.
Well, that's all for me. What books have
you bought/received lately?
I wish I knew ahead of time you were going to the Rachel Gillig signing! I was there too! It was fun and glad I now have my FL set of her first books signed! Bummer that your B&N arrived too late to come with you though. Loving that Ukraine FBAA book! So pretty! I've been falling behind on looking for Stephanie Garber books. I got burned on buying one from India as they never sent it. Went back and forth with them for 2 years and they finally stopped answering my emails, so I finally threw in the towel. Still steamed about it though.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy all of your lovely new additions and had a good time at the signing!
My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!

Oh man. Could you get your money back through your bank for the India one? That's terrible.
DeleteAnd sorry! I totally should've mentioned it. I kind of went back and forth on if I was going to go to the RG signing.
