We all know of at least one of these. A publishing company
goes down in flames, or an author can't/won't/doesn't want to write in the
series anymore. And it's incredibly frustrating for readers.
So here are some of the series that I love and will probably
never get the happy ending they deserve.
There’s
something about the new guy at Crossroads High…
Most sixteen-year-olds have friends. Aden Stone has four human souls living inside him:
One can time travel.
One can raise the dead.
One can possess another human.
One can tell the future.
Everyone thinks he’s crazy, which is why he’s spent his entire life shuffled between mental institutions and juvie. All of that is about to change, however. For months Aden has been having visions of a beautiful girl—a girl who carries centuries-old secrets. A girl who will either save him or destroy him.
Together they’ll enter a dark world of intrigue and danger... but not everyone will come out alive.

My Thoughts
I really enjoyed the
first two books in this series, sure the third was a little too weird, but that
hasn't stopped me from wanting a fourth book. Unfortunately, sales didn't go
over too well for Twisted. Gena has no plans to self-publish a fourth
book, or to revisit the world any time soon.
Vampires, werewolves, witches,
shapeshifters -- they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their
secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love
breaks all the laws of the Night World.
In Secret Vampire, Poppy thought the summer
would last forever. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now Poppy's
only hope for survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in the
Night World, James can make Poppy immortal. But first they both must risk
everything to go against the laws of Night World.
Fugitives from Night World, three vampire sisters leave
their isolated home to live among humans in Daughters of Darkness.
Their brother, Ash, is sent to bring the girls back, but he falls in love with
their beautiful friend.
Two witch cousins fight over their high school crush.
It's a battle between black magic and white magic in Spellbinder.
My Thoughts
This unfinished series has been making me mad for years. I feel
terrible for the people who read these books almost 20 years ago, and who still
haven’t gotten the conclusion to the series. L.J. Smith really needs to get it
together.
Fifteen-year-old Izzy
Brannick was trained to fight monsters. For centuries, her family has hunted
magical creatures. But when Izzy’s older sister vanishes without a trace while
on a job, Izzy's mom decides they need to take a break.
Izzy and her mom move to a new town, but they soon discover it’s not as normal as it appears. A series of hauntings has been plaguing the local high school, and Izzy is determined to prove her worth and investigate. But assuming the guise of an average teenager is easier said than done. For a tough girl who's always been on her own, it’s strange to suddenly make friends and maybe even have a crush.
Can Izzy trust her new friends to help find the secret behind the hauntings before more people get hurt?
Rachel Hawkins' delightful spin-off brings the same wit and charm as the New York Times best-selling Hex Hall series. Get ready for more magic, mystery and romance!

My Thoughts
The Hex Hall
spin-off series didn’t do too hot. But, just because it sold fewer copies than
the best-selling originals doesn’t mean avid fans and readers should have to
suffer. This book left a lot of plot holes open, and I want them solved. I just
don’t think it’s ever going to happen.

There you have it, some
of my most aggravating series with their non-endings. If you have any of these
types of books out there, make sure to sound off in the comments.

ReplyDeletethanks for the post
It's still a good book, if you want to give it a try. And you're welcome! XD
