Well, I'm still alive. I guess everyone could say that about October. Yikes. This country is a dumpster fire. I truly hope things can get better, but it's really scary right now. Like, super scary. It sits in the back of my mind every day how far gone our country is. When rights are taken away from one group of people, it's not too long before they start being taken from everyone, and we're seeing that in real-time. It's disgusting. But, I'm going to talk about books to have a small happy place to go during this chaos.
I received my October FairyLoot Romantasy book this week, and I am very disappointed. It's Savage Blooms by S.T. Gibson. This cover is so meh. The hardcover and the endpapers are fine, but this design is not it. I'm not a fan of throwing a bunch of gold foil on a plain, dull background. It just doesn't work for me, like those Hawthorne Legacy books FairyLoot did. It's not my preferred design style. This book is actually all I got this week. I do think I ordered a couple of things though. They just won't be delivered for a while.
Well, that's all for me. What books have
you bought/received lately?
