Stacking the Shelves: The Special Edition Edition

"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly haul meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It allows book buyers to share their accumulation of books with the online book-loving community.

Well, obviously this post has been written pre-ApollyCon travels because at the moment it goes live, I'm busy trying to get my feet to stop hurting. That's pretty much all ApollyCon is... pain. Back pain, leg pain, feet pain. Ha ha. But as for my week before ApollyCon, it's been good. My work deadline is approaching, but everything is pretty much done. Thankfully. I was able to pack for my trip over the weekend, which was easier than I thought it would be, so I should be all ready to go. I even made it to the gym over the past two days. Hurrah!

For this short week's haul (honestly, it's just what I got Sunday and Monday), I have multiple special editions. My parents delivered two FairyLoot books to me, since I have all of my orders go to their house. The first was Firebird by Juliette Cross, the March Romantasy book. The other was my preorder of Cursebound by Saara El-Arifi, which I didn't even know had shipped. FairyLoot has been doing that lately, and I don't like it. It's been raining too much for them to not send proper shipping notifications. I also received my first luxe edition of The Awakening from the Zodiac Academy series. It came on the one day of the week it wasn't raining. Thank god. It's also very pretty.

Next up, I have my luxe editions of Obsidian and Onyx from the Bookish Box. I do not like the dust jacket art for this one. I'm definitely going to use the reverse art. I'm just waiting until I can do it calmly, so I don't mess it up. How could I possibly mess it up, you ask? I don't know. I just know I've been anxious prepping for my trip, so every non-prep task has my pulse skyrocketing lately. Everything that is not ApollyCon prep is an inconvenience I cannot stand for right now. All of the inconveniences will be completed post-ApollyCon. Lol.

Well, that's all for me. What books have you bought/received lately?

  1. Yeah, I stopped getting Fairy Loot email notifications back in September I think? No order confirmations, no shipment notifications. Nothing. Just the newsletter roundups and THANKFULLY, the sale emails to buy things! Their new server/provider or whatever just does not send them to me. I've mentioned it to them at least twice but I don't think there's anything they can do. No one seems to know what's going on. I basically don't know anything is coming until I get my USPS notifications and I see something from DE is coming and it appears to be coming directly USPS and not UPS Sure Post or whatever that thing is called.

Nice new reads! I also got my TBB Lux editions and was thinking that I would use the reverse side of the cover too. The outside one is just okay but doesn't really give me all the Lux vibes but it's not bad art either, hence the reason why I bought them! I feel at least with the characters posing they were better than the one set where you just see a character standing there. Those left me underwhelmed so I decided to wait for a better set. Of course if Fairy Loot ever does one, I might have to get that too! Lol.

    Happy Reading!
