Stacking the Shelves: The Second Copy Edition

"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly haul meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It allows book buyers to share their accumulation of books with the online book-loving community.

I made a Book Outlet purchase. Bad, Rachelle. I did get the Kresley Cole book from my local used bookstore though, and I didn’t pay for it, just traded. ;)

The Master by Kresley Cole
Savage Drift by Emmy Laybourne
Unmade by Sarah Rees Brennan
Torn by Avery Hastings
Strange & Ever After by Susan Dennard

Most of these were are sequels I needed to complete my series. I picked up The Master though, thinking that it was the first book in Cole’s new contemporary trilogy and that I didn’t own it. However, I do own it because it’s the second book, not the first, which I got at a used library sale a while back.

Ugh. I hate buying multiple copies of books accidentally.

What books have you bought/received lately?

  1. I hate when I buy multiple copies of books. So frustrating when that happens. I hope you love all of your new books.

  2. Awww, buying a duplicate kind of sucks! It'd be one thing if the second copy was a gift or a win from a giveaway, but when you straight-up forget you bought a copy already, and buy another... ugh. I haven't read any of Cole's romance novels, but I definitely plan on changing that! I like adult romance novels way too much. ;D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Rachelle. :)

    1. Yep, buying double sucks. I'm glad you're thinking about starting some of Cole's books. Her Immortals After Dark series is really good. I also like her YA Arcana Chronicles books, but if you can wait to read those, I would. There's still two more books to go before the series is over. :)

  3. I was on holiday this week and spent £12 on a book about an expedition to Everest that I thought I didn't have-got home to find I had it. Arrgghh! Still, it will be the perfect gift for my uncle's birthday as he loves those books as well! Stupid Chuckles...Enjoy your books!

  4. Don't feel bad about buying the second copy of a book. I once came home from a book fair with 2 copies of the same book. I don't know how I didn't realize it when I paid for my books. Enjoy all of your new books!

  6. I have only bought multiple copies of books a few times, but when I do I am kicking myself! I will try this summer to give many of my books away (my babies!), because I cannot hold on to everything I ever read.

    1. I kind of want to start with The Master because the first book doesn't sound that great to me. I'll have to look and see if it's okay for me to skip books in the series.

    1. I've only read her first book, Something Strange & Deadly. It was cute, but I'm hoping the other books in the series pick up the pace a little.
