So… It’s a cover change. Grr… I’m glad that they kept the same typeface. Other than that, I think everything’s too flashy.

Swords on covers seems so unoriginal, but I’m digging this. I just wish the font was a little flashier.

It’s pink! And I like it! Well, I’m not 100% in love with the bulky armor, but hey, it’s armor. It’s supposed to be that way.

I haven’t read The Young Elites so I have no idea what this cover actually means. It’s pretty though.

My Thoughts

I understand that this picture represents the apple from Snow White. BUT, it’s kind of Twilight-ish. Plus, I think it’s ugly. The blue and reddish-pinkish colors do not mix well and it just looks fake. Cress had such a cool color, but I’m disappointed in this one.

This has nothing to do with the cover, but did you know that this book is going to be 800 pages long? It’s going to look so weird on my shelves, sitting next to the other books in the series. I kind of wish they would have separated it into two 400-page books instead.

My Thoughts

LOVE IT! There is finally a girl on the covers of this series! Okay, so I’ve heard that Cleo is supposed to be on book one’s cover, but that does not in any way look like Cleo so I say it’s a guy. Who? I have no idea. But this one, even though it has my least favorite character smack dab in the middle of the cover, it’s still beautiful! The white background with the green and the fire! EEK!

My Thoughts

I barely found out Richelle Mead was writing a standalone book before this cover was revealed. And, it’s odd. The cover itself is pretty, I’m just not used to Richelle Mead’s YA books having anything but just faces on them.

My Thoughts

I’m not quite sure what I think of this one yet. It reminds me of a romance novel, but the background is very pretty.
