Stacking the Shelves: August Edition

"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly haul meme that is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It allows book buyers to share their accumulation of books with the online book-loving community.

Last month was my birthday, so I decided to splurge a little.

Bought:
·         Deep Kiss of Winter by Kresley Cole & Gena Showalter
·         Macrieve by Kresley Cole
·         The King by J.R. Ward
·         Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
·         Deliverance by C.J. Redwine
·         Poison Princess by Kresley Cole

From the library:
·         An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
·         Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison

I can’t wait to read Deliverance and Crown of Midnight!!!

What books have you bought/received lately?

  1. I love several of the books you've acquired this week, Shell! The King, Deep Kiss of Winter and Macrieve are all pretty good :)

I hope you'll enjoy all of them! Happy reading, and have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Crown of Midnight is AMAZING! I'm really excited for book #3! I still don't have my copy yet but sooooon. ^-^ It's going to be terrific. I also really loved An Abundance of Katherines, although I don't think it's John Green's BEST work.

    1. I'm halfway through CoM right now, and I'm dying to know how it ends! And I'm glad to hear about AoK. I can't decide if I actually want to read it or not. (The two library books are for a school assignment, and I only have to actually read one.)

  3. The Sarah J. Maas series is awesome. I really love that series. I just finished reading Heir of Fire which you need to read ASAP, after Crown of Midnight. Great stack.

    1. Oh, that's sad that you have to wait for Deliverance. I couldn't do that. And I'm halfway through CoM right now, and let's just say that it's quite a bit better than ToG. And ToG was pretty darn good too. I hope Heir of Fire is just as amazing. ;)

  5. Still planning to buy An Abundance of Katherines because John Green just became a new favorite author after I read his TFIOS and Looking for Alaska. And hooray to Crown of Midnight, my favorite book in the Throne of Glass series so far. Oh well, I still need to read Heir of Fire and see it's going to be as awesome as the second book.

    Have fun reading.

    1. I haven't read any other John Green book except TFIOS. I need to get on that. And I'm excited to finish CoM and jump into Heir of Fire. I need some more Chaol in my life. ;)

    1. I think a lot of book bloggers need to go on a book buying ban, but it'll probably never happen. ;)

And happy reading to you too!
